Cheese head screws
Cheese head screws have a screw head that is shaped like a cylinder. The term "cap screw" is often used as a synonym for this type of screw. Cheese head screws are commonly used, for example, in the field of mechanical and plant engineering as well as in vehicle construction as powerful and solid sealing and fastening elements. Cheese head screws can be secured in two phases using the angle-of-rotation tightening method. If necessary, a cylinder countersink can also be used to countersink a cheese head screw.

Cheese head screws: Diverse materials and surfaces

Steel cheese head screws are not rustproof. However, if corrosion resistance is not a priority, steel cheese head screws are a cost-effective alternative to their stainless steel counterparts. - Plastic cheese head screws
Cheese head screws made of PA 6.6 are characterized by their low dead weight. In addition, these plastic screws can cope with operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to +100°C – and even up to +200°C for short periods.
