Door Latches and Locking Mechanisms

Made from black polyamide, we carry snap locks  for panels with a 2.0 mm thickness and 7.0 mm x 8.0 mm hole size. Order the matching mandrel at the same time.

Made from polyamide 6.6, our snap-in locking mechanisms are ideal for reliably closing and easily opening doors and flaps made of metal or wood. Mounting is extremely simple and requires no screws or dowels. The parts are simply pressed into a precisely fitting hole and then sit firmly in the panels, locked in place by elastic retaining arms.

The specifications are as follows:

• Clamping range: 0.8 mm to 1.6 mm
• Mounting hole: 13 mm x 16.7 mm
• Spring steel: 0.5 mm
• Tractive force: black version: 50 N, natural-colored version: 65 N

Of course, you can order the corresponding locking pins at the same time.

Flexible Velcro tapes are easy-to-handle, universal solutions. The Velcro tapes consist of two self-adhesive polyolefin strips with short-stemmed ball heads. These interlock when the strips are pressed together. They can be released again by pulling them apart.

The acrylate adhesive on these push fasteners ensures high instantaneous adhesion, even to PP and PE. It is plasticizer and solvent resistant, insensitive to moisture and resistant to UV rays. It is also thermally stable between -30°C and +95°C.

Similar to the Velcro tapes, our self-adhesive hook-and-loop tapes are another option. They are also universal solutions that are designed for quick fastening and release. Their locking mechanism works a little differently – one of the polyolefin strips is equipped with hooks, the other with soft, flexible loops. When pressed together, these components interlock.

The synthetic rubber adhesive adheres immediately, even to plastics, and is thermally stable up to +50°C (and +70°C for short periods). This fastening material is available as a roll in a box containing a 5-m hook tape and a 5-m loop tape, each 25 mm wide (3M item number SJ352D).
