Hexagon nuts with sealing rings
Hexagon nuts with sealing rings are used to reliably prevent accidental loosening of screw connections. These self-locking nuts include a non-metallic insert that does not damage the thread surfaces. The plastic sealing ring, which is located on the face of the lock nuts, deforms when the screw is tightened and locks into the screw thread. This results in a force-fit connection that maintains a consistent preload.

Self-locking nuts with sealing ring to DIN 985 / ISO 10511
Our hexagon nut with Poly-Stop to DIN 985 or ISO 10511 is a traditional version with a blue, ring-shaped polyamide insert. The insert is destroyed when the screw connection is tightened, which means the nut cannot be reused.
You will find these nuts in both low- and high-profile designs in our standard range with the following specifications:
- Material: galvanized steel, A2 or A4 stainless steel
- Thread: M2, M2.5, M3 to M6, M8, M10, M12, M16, UNC 4/40
