Fastening Technology
Fastening technology is the term used to refer to the fastening systems, materials, and tools used to mount components to structures. Therefore, the correct fasteners and their corresponding tools are essential. This includes bolts and rivets, as well as standard parts such as screws and nuts. Fastening technology plays a vital role in the automotive industry as well as in the electrical and mechanical engineering sectors. The most important fastening technology includes rivet joints, screw fittings and angle brackets.

A large selection of spacers is available to order online now from ETTINGER
In our well-stocked online shop, you can find different types of spacers including standoffs, also known as distance bolts. They are used when components such as electronic circuit boards need to be held or fixed apart. Standoffs are mainly manufactured from hexagonal bars to ensure simple installation. ETTINGER produces standoffs using cam-controlled lathes and high-performance CNC machines.
Another type of spacer that we offer as part of our range of fastening technology are high-quality round spacers – also often called spacer tubes or spacer sleeves due to their shape. These small tubes are used when a space or a permanent and consistent distance needs to be created between two components. ETTINGER supplies both metal and plastic round spacers as well as spacers for miniature assemblies.
PCB supports are also part of our range of fastening technology. They are produced using an injection molding process and made of polyamide 6.6 (natural or black) or even polycarbonate or polyphenyl. PCB supports are used to mount circuit boards or assemblies to enclosures used for electronic equipment. They make it possible to maintain the necessary distance between the housing and the circuit board. PCB supports are quick and easy to install: most types simply snap into the hole in the circuit board and the support panel.

Classic fastening technology: screws, nuts, washers, threaded inserts
Fasteners are naturally at the heart of fastening technology. ETTINGER therefore keeps all common screws to DIN and ISO standards in stock. Threaded screws to DIN/ISO standards, SEMS screws, captive screws and special screws are all part of our product range. Of course, you can also find screws with UNC threads. We supply self-tapping screws for thermoplastic, duroplastic, steel and aluminum as well as sheet metal screws.
We also have large quantities of nuts – to DIN, ISO and UNC standards – and washers (flat washers, rosette washers, lock washers, sealing washers, connecting washers and more) available from stock for immediate delivery. Swage nuts, rivet bushings as well as spacer sleeves and self-clinching studs are also easy to order from our online shop.
Rivets, snap-in and catch-pin fasteners – high-quality plastic and metal fasteners
Discover our wide range of rivets. We stock both metal and plastic cylindrical fasteners. Plastic rivets are ductile and are most commonly used in fastening technology to connect flat materials such as printed circuit boards and sheet metal. Choose between popular tubular rivets to DIN 7340, blind rivets, push rivets and snap rivets depending on your project.
