Available versions of our insulated standoffs
You can order insulating distance bolts from ETTINGER in the following versions with thread sizes from M2.5 to M10 or in various widths across flats, depending on the type of insulator:
- Round insulator with hexagon
- Hexagonal insulator
- Round insulator
- Miniature insulator
Depending on the product, the insulated standoffs are available in flammability classes UL94-HB to UL94-V0 and in lengths from 4 mm to 120 mm in the following materials:
- Insulator: white polyamide or polystyrene
- Supporting insulators: glass fiber-reinforced alkyd resin or polyester
- Metal thread inserts: uncoated or nickel-plated brass, galvanized steel
Our polyamide-metal insulated standoffs with pressed-in external or internal thread offer permanently thermal stability from -30°C to +85°C (temporarily +200°C) and a dielectric strength of 30 kV/mm to 35 kV/mm. The flexibility or 35 percent bending stress is 22 N/mm² to 100 N/mm². The specific contact resistance is > 1015 ohm/cm.
The polystyrene-metal insulated standoffs with injected threaded bushings have a dielectric strength of 150 kV/mm, an insulation resistance of 1013 ohm/cm and a maximum temperature resistance of +90°C. The dissipation factor is 4x10-4 and the dielectric constant is 2.5. The insulation distance is 7 mm for a total length from 20 mm, otherwise 2 mm to 7 mm.
We also stock polyamide-metal insulated standoffs with a contact resistance of 1012 ohm/cm and a dielectric strength of 50 kV/mm. They can withstand a maximum temperature of +110°C.
The insulated standoffs in the ETTINGER product range are made of alkyd resin and galvanized steel or brass and have a dielectric strength of 25 kV/mm (flashover) and > 50 kV/mm (breakdown). With permanent thermal stability up to +150°C and a high breaking strength, they are suitable for use in power electronics. Versions with a polyester plastic body are also available.
