Cable lugs from ETTINGER
In electrical engineering, cable lugs offer an easy way to create electrical connections for cables and stranded wires by means of screws (ring or fork cable lugs) or connectors (blade terminals or blade receptacles). The contact is established by screwing on the ring or fork (in the metric dimensions from M2 to M10). If you want to fasten stranded wires in terminals, it is best to insert ferrules – this prevents the individual wires from splicing. Cable lugs (and solder cable lugs) in various designs – with or without insulation or as pin-type cable lugs – are available online from ETTINGER in large quantities.
Crimping, pressing, plugging – cable lugs in numerous designs
In our online shop you will find cable lugs in numerous variants and different sizes. The available cable lug types in our range can be distinguished as follows.
Crimp cable lugs: These include a pre-formed conductor holder for the individual wires of the cable, which is bent upwards at the side. In the crimping process, crimping tools are used to press this conductor receptacle inwards and downwards – these cable lugs are thus easily mounted and create an electrically conductive contact with the conductor. Blade terminals are connected in a similar manner.
Compression cable lugs: Compression cable lugs have a thicker and closed holder for the conductor. This is deformed with the aid of a crimping tool to create a strong form closure around the conductor.
Ring cable lugs: We offer these as a solder-free variant made of galvanically tin-plated electrolytic copper for crimping or pressing in accordance with DIN 46234 A (without insulation) or DIN 46237 A (with insulation). They have a temperature resistance of -40°C to +105°C.
Forked cable lugs: Our range includes solderless forked cable lugs for crimping or pressing in accordance with DIN 46237 C, e.g., with polyamide insulation and made of galvanically tin-plated electrolytic copper. They have a temperature resistance of -55°C to +105°C.
Claw cable lugs made of tin-plated brass to DIN 46225 are also available.
Pin-type cable lugs: These cable lugs are available either with or without insulation (polyamide and PVC) and in accordance with the DIN 46230 and DIN 46231 standards in forms A and B.
