Swage nuts, studs, standoffs and spacers from ETTINGER
Self-clinching fasteners can be used with minimal technical effort in sheet metal and plastics from a thickness of just 0.5 mm. Press-fit and self-clinching threaded fasteners form a permanent connection with the respective base material. The fastener sits securely in the material and will not move even if the mating screw is removed. The material-friendly, weight-saving process and cost-effective assembly with high-precision positioning make self-clinching fasteners essential in industry. Whether in electronics manufacturing or in the automotive sector – fasteners enable efficient, reliable production.

Self-clinching nuts and studs
Press-fit technology creates high-strength connections using nuts and studs through a cold-forming process which doesn’t damage the surface finish of the material. ETTINGER supplies the following products for use with metals and plastics:
- Self-clinching nuts made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and carbon steel for a maximum panel hardness of HRB 80
- Self-clinching studs available in various steel grades or phosphor bronze
Self-clinching threaded fasteners can be used with a range of components, including thin sheet metal, PCBs, membrane keyboards and rating plates. We also supply space-saving miniature self-clinching fasteners, studs for invisible mounting and self-clinching pins.
Rivet nuts and swage standoffs
For installation without distorting the base material, you can buy blind rivet nuts and rivet bushes in a variety of materials, sizes and designs from ETTINGER. Swage standoffs and spacers also form part of our product range for when certain distance requirements have to be met. For example, we supply:
- Rivet nuts with flange collar, knurled, with serrated shaft, and other models
- Swage standoffs and spacers for captive screws, printed circuit boards and connectors
When selecting the material, many different steel grades and brass are available. Custom production is also available on request.
We supply self-clinching fasteners for many thread sizes from M2 to M10 and in numerous dimensions, which are listed in detail on the relevant product page in our product catalog. Conformity in accordance with RoHS III and REACH is guaranteed.
